Artificial Tornado

Just now I was surfing the web, came across a news clip about the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Germany. What do you expect to see in this museum? Floors of cars? Engines? Company history? Well, in this museum, Mercedes-Benz has successfully created a 34.4 m high artificial tornado!! The reason for this artificial tornado to be in the building is because the architect decided not to install fire doors in the building, and too meet with regulations, this is the solution to take smoke out of the museum in case of a fire.

未自過真正的龍捲風? 位於德國的平治博物館便成功於室內製作了世上最大的「人造龍捲風」。造這個高34.4米的龍捲風的原因，是由於大廈沒有加設防煙門的設計(美觀因素)。而「人造龍捲風」便可以達到於火警時迅速帶走濃煙的功能了。

Remodelling - Phase II

Started the second phase of the remodelling process, after playing with templates that are bright, colourful, I want somthing more simple, and look a little professional. Hence, I get what you see.

While digging for rounded corners templates, I came across with this fun web that help user creates rounded corners website easily. The webmaster selected 25 commonly used rounded corner styles and shared them. Check out the link below.

Purchased Tamron SP AF17-50mm F/2.8 XR

FINALLY!!! I bought a new standard zoom lens for my beloved Canon 30D. As a replacement for my kit lens 18-55 F/4-5.6, this lens not only give me a sharper image at the 17mm range, it also provide a large aperture size of F/2.8. Which proofed to be super useful when taking portrait or night shot. Please find the spec for this lens below.

Introducing w910i, k850i

Someone asked about the new mobile phones from Sony Ericsson. So, let's talk about them. Recently, Sony Ericsson has announced two new mobile phones - W910i and K850i. I personally longed for the K850i for quite some time, before my HP6828, I was using K810i and I was very happy with it. :)

W910 was nicknamed the "music handset" ;) due to it's specially designed music player and emotional music selector - SensMe. In SensMe, all the music will be analysied and arranged on a map according to the mood of the song. Users can then play the songs according to their mood.





The other new phone - K850i - just like its ancestor K810i. It was focused on taking pictures :D, combined with Cybershot technology and a 5.0 MP CMOS camera, what more need to be said? Oh, did I mention that the lenses on the mobile has the ability to focus on objects?

Oh, I wanted the k850i, but the phone you get doesn't have Traditional Chinese, right? If that's the case and you are happy with your phone right now, I think you should get a better offer without a new phone.

Finally, I bought "Project Gotham Racing 4" for $258, a reasonable price really :) . New features in the game includes driving motorbike, race in ShangHai and Macau, etc. Being able to recognize the road you're driv' on, it's kind of cool. :p. Adding Smileys

I woke up pretty early today (in terms of of holiday) and I went on the web and check if I can find anything to spice up my little site. Then I found a little javescript in iBenjamin's site to add little :# smileys :) to blog post, so I am trying it out.

Moreover, I also added the facebook profile link to the left nav bar, check it out.

今天一早醒來，心血來潮想為自己的 BLOG 加一些新玩意，結果於 iBenjamin 的 Blog 中找到了為 Blog 加入 :p 表情笑臉 :) 的 javascript 真的很有趣方便，最好的還是它不會拖慢 BLOG 的載入時間，所有文字載入了，才會用圖示取代。

另外，我亦加入了 Facebook 的連結到左面的控制列，連到本人的 Facebook 檔。

Canon announced two new lenses

Canon Just announced two new tele lenses, both lenses are top of the range and god knows how much they'll cost. Below are the two lenses, photo linked to Canon's USA site, and should give Hi-res image when clicked on them.

Canon 發表了兩支新的遠攝長炮 L 鏡，分別為 EF200mm f/2L IS USM 及 EF800mm f/5.6L IS USM。試想像 200 mm 的焦距加上 f/2 光圈，還加一個防手震功能，真的是頂級鏡，而 EF800mm f/5.6L IS 便可用來拍攝生態、運動等照片。以下是兩支鏡的特寫，按圖可連到 CANON 網看 3100 x 2300 的高解像照片。
